The Bears finished their first regular season in 2009 with an impressive 7-2 regular season record, and earned the #2 seed in the 2009 C.S.A.F.L playoffs.
The Bears went on to win their first two playoff games to reach the league championship game. The Bears fell just short in the championship game, losing a in a hard-fought game to the Twin City Cougars 16-17 on the Cougars home field in Yuba City.
